Greetings and welcome to...

Castner Heights Neighborhood Association

(CHNA).

This HOME page tab will provide an overview of our Association with supplemental information provided at the ABOUT US tab above.  Use the menu tabs up top to navigate  around this site, and click icons, hyperlinks, graphics, and photos throughout to view their links.  Icons and graphics on cell phones sometimes appear at the bottom of their screens.  All PDF files open in Adobe Reader so you can read and/or print them out.

  • We are one of many official City Neighborhood Associations and have been established over many years.  As such, we are provided information relevant to news about and proposed changes to our area, and have the opportunity to improve our situation and quality-of-life with bond funds.

  • We’re located at the foothills of the eastern slope of the Franklin Mountains in beautiful and eminent northeast El Paso.  Our Association boundaries are generally formed by Gateway North Boulevard on the west, Diana Drive on the north, Dyer Street on the east, and Hondo Pass Drive on the south.  That area encompasses our cornerstones, Todd Ware Park, and Whitaker Elementary School.

  • CHNA is open to any residents of the area to join and contribute, as well as to associated businesses and selected honorary members who support our efforts.

  • Our logo was designed by long-time CHNA member Glenn Meigel and represents CHNA’s proximity to and clear view of the Franklin Mountains and Castner Range National Monument with cacti and desert vegetation growing on its foothills, our reliable sun shining prominently in clear skies, and our golden poppies blooming in the foreground.  CHNA is now 20 years old in 2024 as an official Neighborhood Association in the City of El Paso.
