CHNA and EPNC Picnic

The El Paso Neighborhood Coalition (EPNC) sponsored its 1st Annual Community Picnic on Sunday, April 22, 2018, and your Castner Heights Neighborhood Association was in attendance.  We had a great time meeting and greeting other neighborhood association members, dancing, eating, and enjoying a sunny Sunday afternoon in Memorial Park.   Click on the labeled photos.

CHNA General Membership Meeting

This GMM was held on April 28, 2018 at the Little Bavarian Restaurant on Hondo Pass Drive.  After a year’s sabbatical, Joe Molinar was reelected as CHNA President.

Project MOVE with UTEP

Despite the extreme cold and intense winds on February 24, 2018, 30 UTEP students (20 Theta Chi fraternity brothers collaborating with 10 sorority sisters from Alpha Xi Delta and Zeta Tau Alpha) and 5 Castner Height Neighborhood Association and G.T. Powers Drive Neighborhood Watch Program neighbors picked up 16 full bags of trash at Todd Ware Park and 9 vicinity flood-control spillways.  Bags were delivered to the City Trash Collection Site on Stahala Drive.  All enjoyed a pizza and soda lunch.  The effort was a resounding success!
